We're your hosts, Lesa and Gery Winsor and we live at Winsor House.
We are here to welcome you and we are available at any time. We are happy to guide your trip, answer any questions, and ensure your Newfoundland experience is one you will never forget.
Accommodations
All our rooms have ensuites and are bright, modern, and spotlessly clean. Fresh white linens are line-dried and scent-free.
Our coffee station is open at any time, so help yourself to coffee or tea (sometimes treats). Curl up by the fire, play some games, enjoy the deck, sit in the garden, read a book and enjoy our space.
Famous Breakfast
Breakfast is made to order, ordered the night before and served at 8 am.
We offer the following: fresh fruit salad prepared daily, yogurt, bacon, sausage, bologna, homemade fish cakes, toutons, eggs any way you like them, toast, and homemade jams.
For something a little lighter we also offer pancakes, French toast, oatmeal, omelets, or cereals.
All along with endless pots of coffee, tea, and juice.
Gluten-free and vegan options available upon request.

The Area
Located in the downtown heritage district of St John’s, come experience Newfoundland culture in our Edwardian home only 8 kms from the airport.
Although we have parking there really is no need to rent a car as all downtown attractions are within walking distance.
Visit famous Quidi Vidi, The Battery, George Street, the North Atlantic ocean, the Terry Fox monument, local shops & galleries, world-famous restaurants, and pubs are all close by.
Our home is smoke/vapor free
We kindly ask our guests who wish to smoke/vape tobacco or cannabis, to please do so outside in our yard or on our patio.

Onsite Amenities
There is convenient parking and a beautiful patio to sit in and enjoy the fresh Newfoundland air. Laundry service can be arranged.
All rooms have WIFI, TV, fridge, robes, blackout blinds, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, toiletries, towel warmers, fresh slippers, and fans.
We are here to share our knowledge of the area and our home.

Picnic Kit - Heading out for a walk or a hike? Why not take along a picnic lunch/supper? We provide a backpack full of fresh sandwiches (on homemade bread), hot coffee/tea, dessert, and water, along with a cozy blanket to sit and enjoy the scenery - $20/person
S’mores Kit - Sit outside on our patio by the fire and enjoy the classic S’mores treat - $5/person
Cape Kit - Relax on the oceanfront at Cape Spear while watching the whales pass by. Sit on our comfy lawn chairs along with warm blankets (you will need them) and a lovely cheese plate - $25/person
Test your putting skills with our miniature putting green on the Winsor House front lawn
Housekeeping
We do require shoes to be removed at the front door please. This increases cleanliness and decreases noise for our guests.

Try some urban camping and bring your camper downtown.
